Get to know Internist & Cardiovascular Disease Physician Dr. Gerard Abate, who serves the population of Virginia.

Dr. Abate completed his undergraduate degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science. Wanting to further his education he completed his Medical Degree from the Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic in 1981, giving him over three decades of experience in his field. After completing his Medical Degree he returned to the United States and completed his internal medicine internal medicine residency with the St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Wanting to further his training he then completed his cardiology fellowship with the University of South Florida.
